Optimising approximate entropy for assessing cardiac dyssynchrony with radionuclide ventriculography

چکیده
Left ventricular dyssynchrony can be assessed with phase parameters from radionuclide ventriculography (RNVG), including approximate entropy (ApEn). The input values used to calculate ApEn will affect the results significantly, so it is essential optimise for application. However date, no optimisation applied images has been published. In this paper, generated data were simulate patient images, allowing tested and optimised in a controlled environment. Clinical then confirm that selected appropriate. demonstrate effect of most appropriate use RNVG images. This work demonstrates importance standardisation when using as measure dyssynchrony.

Value of mechanical dyssynchrony as assessed by radionuclide ventriculography to predict the cardiac resynchronization therapy response.
AIMS To assess the value of mechanical dyssynchrony measured by equilibrium radionuclide angiography (ERNA) in predicting long-term outcome in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) patients. METHODS AND RESULTS We reviewed 146 ERNA studies performed in heart failure patients between 2001 and 2011 at our institution. Long-term follow-up focused on death from any cause or heart transplantatio...
متن کاملThe clinical utility of radionuclide ventriculography in cardiac transplantation.
To assess ventricular function in patients who have undergone cardiac transplantation, 247 radionuclide ventriculograms were performed on 94 patients. During the first three days after transplantation, 19% demonstrated left ventricular dysfunction and 41% showed isolated right ventricular dysfunction. In 95 cases, radionuclide ventriculography was performed within 24 hr of myocardial biopsy. A ...
متن کاملsurgery: etiologic classification by radionuclide ventriculography
Early after open heart surgery, cardiac shock due to tamponade is easily misdiagnosed as ventricular dysfunction. The distinction is critical to successful therapy. We assessed the utility of 99mTc-red blood cell, gated equilibrium radionuclide ventriculography in 50 patients with early postoperative cardiac shock after historical, clinical, and invasive hemodynamic evaluation failed to identif...
متن کاملCardiac Ventriculography
Cardiac ventriculography is used to define the anatomy and function of the ventricles and related structures in patients with congenital, valvular, coronary, and myopathic heart disease (1–5). Specifically, left ventriculography may provide valuable information about global and segmental left ventricular function, mitral valvular incompetence, and the presence, location, and severity of a numbe...
